ELEAGUE Street Fighter® V Invitational 2018 to Feature Game’s Top American Stars as Showdown Continues Friday, June 15, Across TBS, Twitch & B/R Live

Turner and IMG’s ELEAGUE Street Fighter® V Invitational 2018  will continue live group stage action featuring Group C on Friday, June 15, at 3 p.m. ET on Twitch and B/R Live, with featured matches presented on TBS at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Group C  will see six of the game’s elite talents face off for two spots in the Playoffs – held Friday, July 13 – and a shot at the event’s $250,000 purse.

This week’s top storylines:

  • Born in the U.S.A.
Group C will see four American-born Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition stars land at ELEAGUE Arena in Atlanta to vie for a trip to the Playoffs. They include two of the world’s top 10-ranked players – Du “NuckleDu” Dang (No. 5) and Justin “JWong” Wong (No. 9), along with Bryant “Smug” Huggins and Darryl “SnakeEyez” Lewis.
  • Hot Streak
JWong will look to continue his torrid pace of late at ELEAGUE, after collecting two first-place finishes over the past four months (DreamHack Austin and Toryuken).
  • Everybody’s Problem
The U.K.’s Benjamin “Problem X” Simon will bring a top 20 world ranking along with a collection of notable tournament finishes so far in 2018 to ELEAGUE. The M. Bison player registered in the top five at Brussels Challenge, Texas Showdown 2018 and Toryuken before more recently cooling off to 17th place at Combo Breaker.

Caster’s Take: “Watch out for Problem X. He’s one of the strongest European players and should be considered one of the favorites to make it to the Playoffs from this group.” – Steve “Tasty Steve” Scott, ELEAGUE analyst
