LOS ANGELES, May 24, 2016 – FACEIT, the leading competitive gaming platform, will be the official platform for ELEAGUE, Turner and WME | IMG’s new professional esports league. With ELEAGUE set to debut today, Tuesday, May 24, FACEIT will utilize its competition management resources and technology to provide a dedicated LAN server solution, advanced match analytics and live data feeds that will be integrated into the live broadcast, providing fans the high-quality spectator experience that is expected from professional sports.

FACEIT brings its extensive knowledge of the esports industry and the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) scene to ELEAGUE. By serving as the exclusive platform partner for the league, FACEIT is deploying a suite of new technology for use in league LAN games, including automatic statistics gathering, aggregation and elaboration to create an constantly updated feed for spectators and into FACEIT’s competitive online database, which marks a first in competitive gaming.
As the creator of the FACEIT competitive gaming platform, which has more than 4 million users competing in over 10 million gaming sessions a month, and a preferred partner for Microsoft’s new Xbox Live Tournaments Platform, FACEIT will work with Turner and WME | IMG to provide the community an authentic esports experience that resonates with both hardcore esports fans and newcomers to the scene.

ELEAGUE will feature 24 of the world’s top CS:GO teams, including fnatic, Virtus.Pro, Na’Vi, Luminosity Gaming and Ninjas in Pyjamas. The teams will compete in a 10-week event that will culminate with the ELEAGUE championship on July 30 in Atlanta. Each week, four teams will compete against each other in a group stage that provides the winner a spot in the playoffs in Week 9, while the runner up in the group will earn a spot in the Last Chance Qualifier in Week 8.
